Financial Aid Information Services (FAIS) was founded in 1991 by author and speaker, Gordon Wadsworth.  Since that time, FAIS has helped thousands of students avoid the "student loan trap." 

Wadsworth was an advertising and journalism major at the University of Iowa prior to spending two years in the military.  After his tenure as a writer and photographer during strategic military activities, he returned to college graduating from San Jose State University.

The College Trap is the author's third book on student financial aid, representing over 18 years of research on the subject. His writing reflects his own experience dealing with funding a college education as well as the experience of many who have called or contacted FAIS.
